MISSION STATEMENT

SVAWC: Stop the Violence Against Women and Children National provides effective, victim centered, multi-disciplinary training and expert consultation in the area of child physical and sexual abuse, sexual assault and domestic violence. SVAWC researches and find then disseminate effective prevention programs for men and women and risk reduction programs for women and children.

The goals of SVAWC National, Inc are to:

*Provide training for all disciplines with the focus on evidence based investigations and proper police response and investigation of child sexual and physical abuse, sexual assault and domestic violence in the United States.


*Provide effective preventive training to students and teachers at middle schools, high schools, on college campuses and at other organizations to stop or reduce the violence or report the violence that has already occurred, and to help establish effective protocol in reporting, investigating and prosecuting these crimes.


*Counter crimes of child abuse, sexual assault and domestic violence by ensuring a coordinated, competent and effective response by all members of Domestic Violence Councils and Sexual Assault Response Teams and other community stakeholders to hold offenders accountable.


*Locate and make available the best programs that assist men and women taking responsibility for ending violence against women and children. This includes teaching them to intervene when others are behaving inappropriate and develop programs for them with the cooperation of other women and children.
